Some New Stalls To Explore on July 13th

Belinda Doyle Art

The colours and tones in the resin artworks created by artist Belinda Doyle are absolutely stunning. Influenced by the coastal colours that surround her, Belinda takes inspiration from nature, the beach & aerial photos to create her work. Alongside her original artworks, the artist also loves creating usable pieces for the home, including grazing platters, resin bowls, and trays. We can’t wait to introduce the artist to Newcastle, we know her work will be super popular!

Luke Abbot Designs

Artist Luke Abbot’s stunningly beautiful, unique wearable art,  has a strong theoretical underpinning. Every piece of his jewellery is an aesthetic form of biomimicry- the design and production of materials, structures, and systems that are modelled on biological entities and processes. With details that are only revealed through mechanical transformation, Luke aims to unlock the childlike wonder he associates with the natural world and for his creatures to evolve to inhabit the personal, intimate space that is reserved for jewellery. Every piece Luke creates, including stunning Dragonfly Brooches, and Cicada earrings,  is crafted from Titanium and meticulously heat coloured using a hand torch. No two pieces are completely alike and are uniquely one off. We are excited to welcome this established artist to The Olive Tree Market for the first time on July 13th. Don’t miss the opportunity to discover Luke’s work.

My Elwood Mac

We are just a little bit in love with the sweet macrame rainbows new stallholder Esther Robertson of My Elwoodmac creates. Not only are Esther’s pieces beautifully made, but we think they would add joy to any home in which they are displayed. A perfect addition for any little persons room. Esther also creates contemporary macrame wall hangings, and plant hangers, and has recently started running macrame workshops. Meet this talented maker for the first time at our upcoming date of The Olive Tree Market.

NeuBar

We love discovering amazing ethical brands and introducing them to Newcastle! If you’ve wanted to find a solution to skincare in plastic bottles, then you are going to love new stallholders NeuBar. Creators Katie and Kerry have developed a beautiful range of soap free, pH balanced, hair and body products, that come in a bar. That means no more plastic! You can care for our planet as well as your body. Care, craft and consciousness, go into every aspect of every product the couple creates. Make sure to stop in and discover this beautiful business on July 13th.

Binko Banko

Every pair of earrings created by Binko Banko is a piece of wearable art. Hand painted on wood by maker Bianca Meakin, the artist finds inspiration from nature, her local community, and the online world, and combines tiny details and elements from her inspirations, into a new form of wearable art. Each piece never leaves Bianca’s hands throughout the entire process, and her heart truly goes into every pair of earrings she makes. Choose your own pair of exquisitely painted earrings at out upcoming Olive Tree Market.

Inspired by the natural world she creates finely detailed drawings of flora and fauna, using the old fashioned dip-pen technique with home-made botanical inks.
