Jayne Flannagan of Nellsdottir has been creating her beautiful jewellery since 2013. Watch out for her unique polyclay jewellery- necklaces and braclets- at the next The Olive Tree Market on April 5th. Jayne is also about to create a new range in collaboration with Newcastle Art Gallery for their current exhibition BLUE + WHITE.

All you sweet lovers out there must check out Ms Sugar Jones new creations! Anita has been whipping up little pots of decadence for this Saturday’s Olive Tree! ! Flavours include lemon meringue cheesecake, chocolate and salted caramel hazelnut meringue. Anita will also have her amazing macaroons and pistachio and zucchini cake. Get to the market early as lots of visitors are pre-ordering to make sure the get their favourite desert.

We are super excited that Growing Books is joining The Olive Tree Market on March 1st. Luke & Jeremy are makers of this cool outfit. The guys source hardcover books from charity shops, school libraries and council pick-ups saving them from destruction and up-cycling them into waterproof planters for various succulents and cacti. Keep a look out for them on March 1st

Happy 2014 everyone! Just a little post to make sure you know that the First The Olive Tree Market for 2014 will be held on Saturday the 1st February from 9am-3pm at The Junction Public School. Most of our fantastic makers take a break over January after the hectic lead-up to Christmas which is our busiest time of the year. The Olive Tree Community traditionally come up with new work and ideas over the January break and come back fresh with new work in February!! We look forward to seeing you all on February 1st.
