Each hot food stall is allocated access to one 15amp power outlet- there is no ability to allocated more power than this.

We do not allow generators at The Olive Tree Market.

Stall costs shown are for our markets. All stall fees are inclusive of GST.

Food Trucks and trailers must be pre-approved to trade, and will be charged for additional space used, if occupying more than the standard 3mx3m space.

Are you thinking of applying to become a stallholder at The Olive Tree Market? The Olive Tree Market places a strong focus on approving stallholders who have unique, ethically produced, Australian made goods.

We would love to hear from talented contemporary artists, designers, gourmet food producers, and street food vendors. You will be part of a community of stallholders so we expect that community is important to you!

The Olive Tree Market has supported the maker community for over a decade- we believe passionately in local and handmade. Our ethos is important to our event and our customer base.

Stallholders products must be designed and produced by the stallholder, and the creator must attend the event. The approved stallholder cannot act as an agent or wholesaler for other artisans (unless prior approval by the Market Organiser has been given)

Shared stalls are welcome. However, stallholders must clearly state that they wish to share a stall at the time of application if this is the intention. Stalls are not to be shared with other designers without the Market Organiser’s prior approval.

If applying as a collective or group, you must submit one application with the details of all the artists & products that you wish to sell. There must be one contact point for all correspondence.

The Olive Tree Market has absolute discretion with regard to the approval of all stallholders and the approval of their products for sale.

Presentation of your work and products is extremely important on market day. We encourage all stallholders to ensure that your stall layout and display is professional, creative, and reflects a cohesiveness of vision of your brand story.

All stallholders are required to have a 3m x 3m marquee/ gazebo and MUST have a white canopy to trade at The Olive Tree Market. This is non-negotiable and assists in ensuring that The Olive Tree Market has a high standard of presentation.

All stallholders are required to hold 20 million PLI Insurance. If approved, stallholders Certificate of Currency must list The Olive Tree Market, and  the City of Newcastle, as interested parties.

A copy of the Certificate of Currency must be provided to The Olive Tree Market Manager prior to trading. It is the responsibility of the stallholder to ensure that their PLI remains current at all times when trading at The Olive Tree Market.

The Olive Tree Market receive a large number of applications and approval is based on a competitive application process.

We aim to respond to all applicants within two weeks of receiving an application. All applicants will be notified on the outcome of their application.

Approved applicants will be sent an email with the offer of a position, The Olive Tree Market Terms & Conditions, and an invoice to pay the stall fees in full 10 days prior to their debut market.

Payment must be received within 7 days. Late payments will not be accepted, or chased, and the position will be offered to another applicant should the payment be outstanding.
